Smart Note 2: Create Colorful Text And Freehand Notes On Windows Phone

There might be a lot of note-taking apps available for Windows Phone 7 that make use of live tiles (we have even covered a few, like Sticky Tiles and Live Tile Now), but none as colorful and eye-catching asSmart Note 2. Not only can you create notes with this free app, you can pin them to the start screen of your Mango phone in the color of your choice. And if you are in a hurry, or just in the mood for doodling, you can do that, too, with Smart Note 2.

WP7 is a platform that feels like it is tailor-made for stuff like pin-up and post it notes. The concept behind live tiles is pretty similar to the concept behind such notes. Using Smart Note 2, you can create a note by launching the app and just tapping the “+” button at the bottom of the screen. You have to assign a title to your note, choose a color and you are good to go. Although the app doesn’t let you choose among fonts, the default font goes pretty well with the app’s layout. There are 2 ways of filling up your newly-created note; you can either input text, or there is the option to use freehand and write (or draw) anything that way.

Once you have done that, you can just save the note, add it to favorites for easily accessing it later, or there is the option to pin it to the start screen as a live tile. Now here is the good part about Smart Notes 2. With this app, you can create as many live tiles and notes as you want, and once you have an army of notes at your service, it is easy to sort them or search through them as there are many pre-defined search criteria available (even search by color). Smart Notes 2 also supports three post-it sizes.

To enjoy the app’s look and feel, you might want to give it a try, and it certainly has the potential to become your number one note-taking app pretty soon.
