Microsoft has released another 3 new official themes for Windows 7 as well as the latest Windows 8 operating system, named Autumn Color in Japan, The Macro World of Rocks and MapleStory. All these themes contain some excellent high-resolution desktop backgrounds to beautify your desktop. Here below is brief description about those themes.

Autumn Color in Japan theme

Maple leaves on moss-covered stones, a veranda overlooking a venerable old garden, Mt. Fuji in an elegant composition with turning leaves in the foreground, and other characteristic scenes of Japan in the fall are featured in this free theme for Windows 7 & Windows 8.

The Macro World of Rocks theme

The Macro World of Rocks theme brings different pictures of minerals and precious stones from many places on the planet Earth. Polished agate, green jasper and other minerals are brought in photos with high resolution and vivid colors with strong contrast. Altogether, The Macro World of Rocks theme includes 12 images that have high contrast between them and will give a new look to your Windows 7 & Windows 8 desktop. All images were portrayed by David S. Sommers , a famous photographer who has nature as its main target images.

MapleStory Theme Packe

MapleStory is a free-to-play, 2D, side-scrolling massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by the South Korean company Wizet. Now, you can download this free Windows 7 theme, and bring the fun, sparkly, colorful world of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) MapleStory to your desktop! This free theme includes  stills in high-resolution of Explorers, Cygnus Knights, and other characters and creatures of this gaming phenomenon.

• Although playing the game MapleStory is free, some character appearances and gameplay enhancements can be purchased from the “Cash Shop” using real money.
• The game MapleStory, from which the images in this theme were taken, is not classified as suitable for young children. This game is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older.

These Official Theme Packs can be installed in Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate editions) and Windows 8 as well. Windows 7 and Windows 8 users can install this theme pack with a double-click after downloading it. The theme can then be customized from “Personalization Gallery”. Users running other operating systems like Windows Vista and Windows XP may still download the theme pack and use an unpacker like 7-zip to extract the wallpapers to their system to use them without the theme file. Fans may even go the extra step and install a wallpaper changer to automatically switch between all, or only some, of the wallpapers of the themepack.

To uninstall a theme, open Personalization window (right-click on desktop > Personalize), select the theme and then click Delete theme option.
