ZipShare: Quickly Share Files Up To 20 MB On Facebook

Posted In Online services, Online Storage - By Jack on Thursday, November 3rd, 2011 With No Comments »

Want to send files to a friend but too lazy to email them? From the creators of infamous WinZip comes ZipShare, a brand new social file sharing web app quickly uploads files to Facebook, and displays a download link on your wall, allowing your friends to access and download the shared files in single click. Unfortunately, it poses a size limit of merely 20MB per file, but the disk storage for ZipShare is 100MB which is not bad. Read on to find out more about this new offering in (internet) town.

With ZipShare, you can easily upload files to Facebook in two simple steps. Select the files you want to upload, and choose where to post on Facebook (it can either be your wall or a group’s wall). ZipShare does not support Facebook friend lists yet, so there is no way to share files with only specific contacts.

To upload photos, login with your Facebook account, upload all the files, and share the download link on your own wall or a Facebook group.

Once the download link is available on your Facebook wall, anyone from your Friends will be able to download the content, and see what you have shared.

You can use the Manage option to organize and access your files for a period of one week, after which they will expire. If you wish to delete files earlier (or manually), just select the files and click Remove.ZipShare is a handy app that provides quick sharing and downloading of files on Facebook, spicing up your favorite social network. It’s worth mentioning that WinZip also released another service, ZipSend, the detailed review for which can be found here.
