WordArt is decorative text that you can add to a document. You can make changes to WordArt, such as the font size and the text color, by using the drawing tools options available automatically after you insert or select the WordArt in a document.

Insert WordArt

1. Click where you want to insert decorative text in a document.

2. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click WordArt.

3. Click any WordArt style, and start to type.

Make changes to WordArt

1. Click anywhere in the WordArt text that you want to change.

2. Under Drawing Tools, on the Format tab, click any option.

For example, you can change the direction of the WordArt text by clickingText Direction in the Text group and choosing a new direction for the text.
