There is a good chance your home is secure, but can you say the same thing about your car? If someone stole your car it would still cause a lot of hassle. That is a hassle you don’t need, so we’re going to look at a few security gadgets you can get to make sure your car stays safe.

Fingerprint Locks: http://www.automobile-security.com/products.htm

When you use car keys there is always a chance your car could get broken into because someone could slip into your home and take your keys in the middle of the night. By using a fingerprint lock system there is much less chance of anything bad happening. Someone would need to come into your room and cut your finger off which is going a little too far. You can use a fingerprint scanner to get into the car, or there is also an option to use one when you want to start the engine.

Protect Your Car From Thieves With 5 Amazing Security GadgetsCar Theft Deterrent Light

Unless a car thief really wants your car, they won’t go anywhere near one with an alarm system. Would you risk waking up an entire neighborhood when you could easily just move onto the next car? The only bad thing about alarm systems is the money you have to spend in the first place. A car theft deterrent light is a much cheaper option because it’s just a little LED light you have fitted to your car. It will look like you have an alarm system and nobody will want to risk taking the chance to steal it.

Ignition Kill Switch: http://www.car-theft.org/2009/06/ignition-kill-switches/

What do you think someone will do if they try to steal your car and the engine won’t start? They won’t be able to do anything and they might have to give up. You can have an ignition kill switch installed in your car and when it’s switched on nobody will be able to do anything until they switch it off again. Even if someone steals your car keys they might not be able to drive your car away. Just don’t walk around telling people there is an ignition kill switch inside your car or they’ll know to look around.

Car Shield: http://www.mycarshield.com/

The Car Shield isn’t necessarily there to prevent burglars from stealing your car, but it is there to find your car when they do. The Car Shield can do a lot of things, but you will probably be interested in the fact you’ll be able to track your car once it’s stolen. How can anyone steal your car if you’ll be able to see where it is at all times? You will also be alerted instantly whenever it’s stolen so you don’t need to sit around doing nothing for hours until you realize what has happened.

OnStar System: http://www.onstar.com/web/portal/home

The OnStar system is one of those gadgets that can do lots of different things, but it’s great at keeping you safe in emergency situations. When you’re lost in the middle of nowhere you can reach out to customer service so they can tell you where to go. It’s not safe sitting in your car overnight because you’ll be vulnerable and anyone could attack you. It does other cool things such as informing the emergency services when you’ve been in a crash which will boost your chances of surviving.

Don’t worry about professionals

Unless you have a very expensive car there isn’t much chance of professionals paying you a visit. You’re much more likely to run into trouble with amateurs. If your car has any of these security systems in place it’s going to throw them off guard and your car should remain safe.
