The internet accounts for 3.4% of the Gross Domestic product (GDP) in 13 countries; more than the total GDP contributions from Canada and Spain. Further still, it accounts for 21% of GDP growth in the last five years in mature countries. For some, the internet is a place to play games and keep up with friends, but for many, it’s much more than that.
