iPhone 6 rumours
Rumours that Apple is set to unveil its iPhone 6 have gone into overdrive in recent weeks.
The 5s model may still be growing in popularity following its launch last September, but the word on the net is that Apple is keen to bring out an updated smartphone as a rival to Samsung’s new Galaxy, which is likely to be released around June.

Anyone who has used an iPhone in the past will know they don’t have the lag that some Android devices are guilty of and, when connected via WiFi, are the perfect devices for streaming video over fast broadband. But what will the iPhone 6 bring to the table that exceeds past models?
Larger display?
Apple are yet to formally release any photos of the new smartphone so it’s impossible to state what it will look like at this point, but Chinese website CTech has recently posted picture of what it claims is a genuine casing for the new iPhone on Weibo.
If the images are bone fide, it suggests the new phone will be ultra-thin and made entirely from metal. It also looks wider, suggesting that Apple is manufacturing a product that will have a larger display and potentially bridge the gap between smartphone and tablet.
At present, iPhones have significantly smaller screens than Android-based competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy S4, LG G2 and HTC One. If the rumours are correct, Apple will look to steal a march on its rivals with a five inch full HD display.
iPhone 6 – Range of colours
Another rumour about the iPhone 6 is that it will be available in a wide range of colours. Apple’s traditional colours are white and black, but the American tech giant gave consumers a choice of shades with the iPhone 5c and some believe it will look to continue the trend.
Providing colours was easy with the 5c because its shell is made of plastic. Producing an aluminium model will be more tricky, but Apple has pulled it off in the past with the iPod Nano.
Other rumours
Leaked photos from a case manufacturer in China suggest the iPhone 6 will have a relocated power button. The mute and volume switches will remain on the left of the handset, but the on/off button will move from the top to the right.
It is also rumoured that it will have a Full HD 1920×1080 resolution utilising quantum dot technology as well as an improved camera (around 10 to 12 megapixels) and storage options up to 128GB.
At this stage you can pretty much put your finger in the air and think up any price you like, but Expert Reviews is predicting that the 32GB model will retail around £529 while the 64GB and 128GB versions will be priced near to £599 and £699 respectively. Get the iPhone 6.
