5 Ways To Open Advanced Startup Options in Windows 8 or 8.1

Advanced Startup Options menu in Windows 8 is the main of fix-it place for the entire operating system, which allows you you to access Windows 8 diagnostic and repair tools such as: reset PC, system restore, command prompt… If you get problems starting, Advance Startup Options allows you to access Startup Settings, the menu that includes Safe Mode then you can access Windows 8.

Advanced Startup Options in Windows 8

This article share you 5 ways to open the Advanced Startup Options:

Way 1: Tapping or clicking on Restart while you are holding down the Shift button, then wait for the Advanced Startup Options menu opens.

Way 2:

  1. Restart your PC
  2. Choose the boot option for System Recovery, Advanced Startup, Recovery,… (Tip: You also can press F11 to start System Recovery)
  3. Wait for Advanced Startup Options opens

Way 3: 

  1. Open the charms bar/ Settings/Change PC settings
  2. Select Update and recovery/ Recovery/ Locate Advanced startup
  3. Click on Restart and the Advanced Startup Options opens.

Way 4: 

  1. Open Command Prompt
  2. Shutdown your system by the command prompt: shutdown /r /o
  3. Click on Close button if any message appears.
  4. Wait the Advanced Startup Options menu opens

Way 5:

  1. Insert a Windows 8 DVD, or a USB with the Windows 8 installation files.
  2. Boot your PC from the DVD or USB
  3. Click Next in the Windows Setup screen, then choose Repair your computer
  4. The Advanced Startup Options will open
