6 Steps To Start Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 in Safe Mode

From Windows 7 and earlier version, you can simply press F8 during the boot process will gain access to Safe Mode. However, this operation was no longer with the PC Windows 8 or especially Windows 8.1 – the latest version with UEFI! 

This article will let you know How To Start Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 in Safe Mode!

Step 1: Press Windows + I to open Settings then click Restart while you are holding the Shift button.

Step 2: At the Choose an option screen, click or tap Troubleshoot.

Step 3: Select Advanced options in the Troubleshoot screen. Recommended reading: 5 Ways To Open Advanced Startup Options in Windows 8 or 8.1.

Step 4: Then click or tab Startup Settings

Step 5: Click the Restart button. Then your computer will reboot again.

Step 6: Press the corresponding keys on the screen to boot into Safe Mode. To get into the normal Safe Mode, you press 4 or F4. For Safe Mode with Networking, extra services can help you work in a network environment, press 5 or F5. For Safe Mode with Command Prompt, run the program and allow more calls cmd.exe to run in a DOS environment interface, press 6 or F6.
