The Great Suspender – Automatically pause the unused tab for Chrome (Save RAM)
The Great Suspender automatically “pause” the not use tabs after a period set by you (optionally from 20 seconds to 3 days) in order to save system resources (RAM). When returned to that tab, you simply reload to refresh the content, no need to disable it to tab as the way we usually do well. You are also add a website to “whitelist” (whitelist), such as your work email, Facebook, YouTube, Techtiplib.com,… These pages will never be suspended by The Great Suspender to curb the job is interrupted.
The Great Suspender is a lightweight chrome extension to help reduce chrome’s memory footprint for users that like to have too many tabs open at the same time. This extension will automagically unload each tab while retaining its favicon and title text. A tab can be restored by clicking anywhere on the page when it is needed. This reduces the number of dom elements on the page and ensures no memory leaks or excessive javascripts are running.
There is plenty of options rather related to The Great Suspender, eg only activated when the battery is low or only temporarily tab stops as an Internet connection.
