Buying a smartphone is not easy these days. There are hundreds of different options available. Only a handful of people can afford thousand dollar smartphones. If you just want to use conventional features such as WhatsApp and Skype, why invest in such a high-end device? The budget smartphone category has been rapidly expanding in the past few years. Today, there are millions of people all over the globe that buy budget phones. It is expected that feature phones will completely exit the mass market within the next few years.

However, there are so many different options. Most people are tremendously confused about which phone to buy. Here are the best budget smartphones that you can purchase:

A smartphone (or smart phone) is a mobile phone with an advanced mobile operating system which combines features of a personal computer operating system with other features useful for mobile or handheld use. They typically combine the features of a cell phone with those of other popular mobile devices, such as personal digital assistant (PDA), media player and GPS navigation unit. Most smartphones can access the Internet, have a touchscreen user interface, can run third-party apps, music players and are camera phones. Most Smartphones produced from 2012 onwards also have high-speed mobile broadband 4G LTE internet, motion sensors, and mobile payment mechanisms.

The OPPO N1 Mini

The OPPO N1 Mini mobile was introduced last year. However, it is still one of the best budget smartphones in the market right now. Not only is it a very well-built device, but the N1 Mini is also very affordable. It has a 5.0-inch display with an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. There’s a 13 MP rotatable camera at the top that takes stunning pictures. The phone itself is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core CPU and an Adreno 305 GPU. There’s a 2,140 mAH battery underneath that powers the whole device.

All in all, the OPPO N1 Mini is a fantastic option. It is easily available from many different mobile retailers, and you don’t have to pay a huge amount of money for it. OPPO is one of the largest mobile manufacturers in China. The company has only recently begun to expand overseas and has quickly captured a major share of the market. In Australia, OPPO phones are very popular. They are known for their reliability and ease of us, as well as the excellent value for money they provide.

Motorola Moto G

Another great smartphone on a budget is the Motorola Moto G. The Moto G was one of the biggest surprises of the past year. Ever since Google took over the company (even though Motorola Mobility was sold off to Lenovo), the company has been using vanilla Android. The Moto G not only provides a blazing-fast user experience, but it is also quite sturdy.

It is the cheaper, low-spec variant of the Motorola X. The Moto G doesn’t have specs to die for. However, it does come with a respectable quad-core 1.6 GHz processor. The Moto G is an excellent option for people who don’t want to overspend on their mobile phone. It’s good a pretty decent screen and comes with a vast array of options.

Given the price factor, the Moto G competes closely with the OPPO N1 Mini in terms of features. However, the OPPO N1 mini still provides a much greater number of options. It also has a unique, distinctive look primarily due to the rotatable camera. If you like taking selfies, the OPPO N1 mini is a no-brainer.
