MDaemon is ALT-N Technologies product, it’s a Windows base shareware server for email and instant messaging. MDaemon data can be easily be accesses through the web base email client, World Client. In MDaemon data is store in IMAP format, which comprises of *.mrk and *.msg files.

Migrate MDaemon

Let’s take an example, Caledars.IMAP folder contains the following files Calendar.mrk. Imap.mrk, HIWATER.MRK and .msg files. Same follows with Contacts, Notes and Tasks.

When you try accessing your MDaemon data through World Client, it reads the MRK files. Now you will want to know the use of MSG files. Well, in MDaemon you get option of Outlook Connector, which allows you to access the features of Outlook in MDaemon. Outlook Connector reads the data in MSG file format.

MRK and MSG files work in collaboration, if the MRK file or World Client data is deleted then the MSG files will also be deleted automatically. Once the MRK files are restore then only you can get back the MSG files.
