Many of our readers will have used Houzz and will be aware of its fame, but the story of its growth is an interesting one. It started in a very simple way when Adi Tatarko and Alon Cohen were facing problem in finding an inspiration while remodelling their own home.

Houzz is a habitat of over 40 million users and has 25 million unique monthly visitors. Unique monthly visitors are important as it indicates how active the user base is and it really proves that what an energetic community Houzz has become. 55% of their user base is in the US, but it has now launched in many other countries also and is growing steadily. It is also popular in the UK and Australia, but markets in Germany, France, and Japan has also seen growth. In the United Kingdom, the app has over 2 million users and its popularity continues to grow.

Houzz is a stage that brings home design lovers together. The platform is an address to over 12 million interior design photos for people to browse and find home design ideas. This is incredible for homeowners as sometimes it can be very tricky to find out what designs you want until you see them in someone else’s home. It really is a pondering session for homeowners, as with all the superb designs on display, it is very much easier to think of the designs that are perfect for your own home.

The Houzz app recently won the best app award at the Google Play Awards. Apart from this, some of the major news websites in the world, including CNN and Forbes, have talked about the growth of Houzz on their websites and many saw it as a revolutionary in the industry. The potential of Houzz keeps on improving, with a new feature that allows you to buy products you notice in other people’s homes, in just one click. For example, if you see a piece of carpet you love, you can simply click on it and you will be redirected to a website where you can buy that product.
